Ömer Çamoğlu graduated from Istanbul Technical University in 1975.
In 1978, he founded Çamoğlu Architecture. For many years, the company carried out both architectural design projects and construction contracting services. However, driven by Ömer Çamoğlu’s passion for architecture, the firm chose to focus exclusively on the design side of the industry in the years that followed.
Having delivered projects in many cities across Türkiye, with Istanbul as its primary base, Çamoğlu Architecture expanded its architectural practice internationally in the 2000s by completing numerous large-scale design projects in Russia and Ukraine.
With the design of golf resorts, five-star hotels, yacht clubs, and mixed-use developments in Russia and Ukraine, Ömer Çamoğlu was recognized in 2004 as one of the "Top 100 Global Architects" in Russia.
In 2010, with the Country Life project, he designed one of the first large-scale developments in the Göktürk neighborhood, contributing to one of the pioneering projects that shaped Göktürk’s suburban identity within contemporary Istanbul.
He contributed to the urban transformation of Fikirtepe by designing several projects in the area. He also played a role in the development of Ataşehir by undertaking the design of several well-known projects, including My Newwork and Borusan Ataşehir.
The Maltepe Piazza project, which opened in 2015, was completed in collaboration with an international architectural group.
The Zeytinburnu Seaport project, designed in 2018, received the necessary permits and investment in 2026. If realized, it is expected to become one of Istanbul’s most modern marina and mixed-use developments.
In 2022, two separate projects were designed as part of the second phase of the Fikirtepe urban transformation, initiated under the leadership of Emlak Konut.
